Govt. committed to provide best educational infrastructure: MLA Doda

Government Girls Higher Secondary School Doda celebrated it annual day wherein MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani who chief guest in the function assured the people that state government is committed to provide best infrastructure in educational sector to improve standards of education.
CEO Doda, other district & education officers, Doda Municipal Councilors along-with a large number of children and their parents were also present.
Nek Ram Bhagat the Principal of the school on the onset of propgramme presented welcome address which was followed by a variety of cultural programmes, by the school children.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest Abdul Majid Wani informed that the present govt. in state as well as at the centre is committed towards providing the best educational infrastructure all over the state. Apart from opening of new schools and up-gradation of the existing ones, the government has launched a good number of schemes, where focus is on creating new infrastructure like Model Schools, Girls Hostels, and KGBV. Financial Assistance Schemes have been launched for SC/ST female students and handicapped students. Field staff of SSA in Doda was asked, to work with full dedication and diligence, so that benefits of these schemes reach public especially in far flung areas, well in time.
MLA Doda directed the officers of R&B Division Doda to prepare DPR for construction of new building complex of the School. The Executive Officer MC Doda was given directions for construction of Toilet Complex within the School premises. It was informed that in Doda town, about Rs. 150 crores projects are already going on viz. Rs. 29 crores for construction of Ganpat bridge, Rs. 26 crores for construction of new complex of District Hospital, Rs. Crores on UIDSSMT, Rs. 4.50 on sports stadium, Solid Waste Management Project, IT Centre etc. on this occasion thirty nine appointment letters were distributed among Fourteen newly selected RET and KGBV teachers by Abdul Majid Wani MLA Doda.
Thereafter he gave away prizes among meritorious students of the school.
