| Court dismisses bail application of alleged rapist | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Dec12- Rejecting the bail application of Jan Mohammed allegedly involved in committing rape with the help of surrendered militant, Judicial Magistrate Doda PK Sharma held that the offence committed by the alleged accused is of serious nature and against the society where the girl was raped and got pregnant.
Prosecuting Officer Anoop Kumar who appeared for the state and argued for rejecting of the bail application, Court after considering the case and argument of PO rejected the bail application.
According to the case father of minor girl lodged report with police that his daughter was at home with her 90 year old grand-mother when accused persons namely Jan Mohammed and Showkat Ali, a surrendered militant, equipped with fire arms entered in the house of complainant and committed rape on his minor daughter and threatened her of dire consequence if she disclosed to anybody about the incident. Due to rape the minor girl became pregnant and when the fact came to the notice of alleged accused Jan Mohammed, he took her to Doda and aborted the child with the help of his relative co-accused. When the father of prosecutrix came to know about this fact a meeting of local elderly persons was called wherein Jan Mohammed confessed his crime and agreed to marry the girl, but later on he refused to marry the victim and a case was registered in the Police Station Doda in which the investigation is going on.
