| Graduate engineers met members of pay anomaly committee | | | Early times report Jammu, Dec 12: A joint delegation of graduate engineers comprising of office bearers of engineering associations of civil, electrical and mechanical departments under the banner of state joint action committee hold meting with the members of state pay anomaly committee (PAC) at civil secretariat here today. Members also called upon MoS, finance Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, principal secretary to CM and administrative secretaries of works and power and delegation apprised the minister and the PAC members regarding the problems that have arisen post implementation of 6th pay commission recommendations. As per press release the issue of degradation of pay scales of various posts of engineering services was also discussed viz-a-viz the pay scales of equivalent positions in other J&K state departments and pay scales of equivalent positions in other J&K state departments and pay scales prevalent in engineering services in neighbouring state like Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana. The comparative analysis containing additional date drawn from CPWD and Border Roads and Organization was provided to the members of PAC for perusal, examination and recommendations. The SJACGEA representatives expressed satisfaction over the patient hearing rendered by the law makers and various heads of the state administration and as such SJACGEA is hopeful that the discussions held regarding the pay anomaly in the useful time spared by the concerned officers will definitely yield positive results which shal mitigate the sufferings of the officers of the state engineering services who are under paid and overworked in these hard times. The delegation was led by chairman Er. Mujib Tak and accompanied by Er. Gandeep Pargal, Er. MP Singh, Er Deepak Gupta, Er. Gopal Sharma, Er. Dilip Cheroo, Er. Shabir Khan, Er. Hadyal Ullah, Er. Bashir Baba and Er. Javed Ahmed etc.
