| Agri technos’ fast-unto death enter day-9 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, DEC 13: The fast unto death of agriculture technocrats enter ninth day today. The technocrats who are sitting on the dharna at press club are demanding regularization of the graduates working under Rehbar-e-Ziraat since April 2007. As per press release the stae government has promised the technocrats for regularization of their services, but till date no action has been taken in this regard. Addressing to technocrats thousands of post of lying vacant in the deptt, but government is silent on this. They have said that it is very unfortunate that about 600 posts of Jr. Agri Asst. 340 posts of Agri ext. officer and nearly 1000 circles unsection out of 2700 circles which were created by T & V schemes are vacant where the services of agriculture technocrats can be utilized. The association appeals to the farmers community to join them and raise their voice against the discrimination with farm graduates. Bilal Ahmed President of Kashmir Wing said that we are here at Jammu for the cause and warned the govt to come with clear policy for their regularization. Surinder Radotra president of Jammu said the failure of govt to formulate a policy and save the life and career of agriculture technocrats.
