| Students body says SKEWPY fraud on youth | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 13- Describing the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme (SKEWP) a fraud with the educated unemployed youth of the state Sangarsh- a movement for Justice and Equality has said that this policy will in no way help to check the growing unemployment problem in the state. Addressing media persons here today, General Secretary of the Sangarsh movement Suresh Kumar observed that the much talked about employment policy is a mockery with the youth and said that it seems the same has not been drafted by the intelligentsia, as claimed by the government, but in fact has been drafted by those who are not aware from the ground realities. ‘Mere construction of buildings and other infrastructure, apart from converting District Employment Exchanges as centres for employment and counseling, will not help to overcome the growing problem of unemployment’, he said . He questioned as to how these hollow promises of government shall be fruitful for the unemployed youth of the state and stressed for concrete job package for all the educated youth of the state. Joint Secretary Nitin Sharma opined that the document is silent on those youth who belong to the families of refugees from Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) who are settled in the state for the last so many decades. Flaying the state government, Waheed Ahmed opined that it is ironical that one can get car loan on lesser interest than government’s employment package loan. He said till the government comes up with some concrete package all its programs will fall flat on the ground.
