| PK backs BJP for rejecting quit talks | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 14- Welcoming the statement of BJP out rightly rejecting the silent talks formula on Jammu and Kashmir, the Political Affairs Committee of Panun Kashmir, at its meeting held under the chairmanship of its Chairman Prof M L Raina, observed the this decision has a potential to instill confidence in the nationalist forces in Jammu and Kashmir regarding the political fate and future of the state. ‘It is hoped that the response on this issue from responsible forums and their leaders are earnestly communicated to the masses to create awareness on the subject of such an importance’, was said in the meeting. ‘We are conscious of the fact that America is willingly getting used by Pakistan to put pressure on India to settle Kashmir issue on Pakistan’s terms for its so-called help to America in its fight against terror in Af-Pak region. Attempts are afoot for pushing India into diplomatic dire straits. The US exhibits good and friendly relations, but through its back-channel diplomacy, it does not fail to put a question mark on the J&K State being an integral part of India. The Kashmiri Pandits, who are the indigenous people of the valley of Kashmir, would like to make it clear that they have the first and natural claim on the territory of Kashmir. Besides the Kashmir Pandits, the Dogras of Jammu, the Buddhists of Ladakh and the Sikh community in the state along with all other nationalist forces need to know as to what is being done regarding the territorial and constitutional position of India in the State. For them all, accession is full and final”, delegates of Panun Kashmir said. The meeting was among others attended by Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, Virender Raina, National Spokesperson and Kamal Bagati, Organizing Secretary.
