| Malik release MAM college magazine ‘Trikuta’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 14: A college magazine ‘Trikuta’ of government MAM College was released by the minister for higher education Abdul Gani Malik here today. Minister on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the college in taking out of annual issue of the magazine and added magazine is an idle platform for the students to express their thoughts by writing articles for the magazine. On the occasion an e-exhibition on ‘life and teachings of Gandhi’ was organized by the Gandhian studies centre of the college followed by a cultural programme. Principal, Prof. MS Baloria in his address exhorted that Gandhi’s gospels of truth and non-violence are a panacea for most of the ills emanating from the violent acts rampant throughout the country. He urged the students to imbibe the values of love and brotherhood. Minister on the occasion deliberated upon the relevance of Gandhi’s teachings and emphasized on the pivotal role of the youth as they are the future builders of the nation, and said that his gospels of truth and non violence would usher into communal harmony and brotherhood in a multi religious and multi-lingual country like India. The programme was coordinated by Director, Gandhian studies centre Dr. Twinkle Suri, wherein she informed that it was for the first time in the state e-exhibition was organized on Gandhi.
