Early Times Report Jammu, December14:- The Minister for Tourism, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora reviewed current year’s Action Plan for Tourism sector at a meeting held here today. The draft plan and projection made for the year 2009-10 by various Tourism Development Authorities for various tourism oriented schemes for next financial year were also discussed. The Minister of State for Tourism,Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani was also present in the meeting. Jora said that promotion of tourism is the top priority of the Government. He said the Government has created three tourists circuits including Lakhanpur-Basholi-Bani-Bhaderwah, Kishtwar-Sarthal and Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch to give boost to tourism in Jammu. He said the Government has sanctioned 19 Tourism Development Authorities, of which 12 are directly funded by the Central Government. The Minister asked the concerned officers to utilize the funds judiciously and complete the target, within stipulated time. He said funds for completion of the 18 holes Golf Course Sidhra, be utilized out of the State plan. Various projects including Golf Course, Sidhra, Tourist Reception Centre, Katra, Tourist Reception Centre, Udhampur, Tourist Reception Centre, Jammu, Viewpoints of Surinsar and Mansar Lake and upgradation of Tourists infrastructure under newly created Tourism Development Authorities were also reviewed. Secretary, Tourism and Culture, Mrs Tanveer Jehan, Director, Tourism, Jammu, Mr. Sawhney, Director tourism, Kashmir, Mr. Farooq Shah, Managing Director Cable Car Corporation, Managing Director, JKTDC and Chief Executive Officers of Sonamarg, Patnitop,Gulmarg,Kokernag were present in the meeting
