| Home Guards demand regularization | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 15- All J&K Home Guards Welfare Association has urged the government that they should either be regularized or absorbed in other belt forces as they are fully trained like the belt force personnel and have been serving round the clock like the belt force personnel.
A memorandum by the association alleged, that the government instead of regularizing their services, is going on with fresh recruitments in Home Guard and Fire Brigade.
The president of the association Kamla Sharma said despite serving dedicatedly like the belt force personnel they are paid for only 10 days a month which works out a meager Rs. 410 per month. The association said that it is in the interest of the government that they are absorbed instead of making fresh recruitments as the home guard personnel are already trained.
