| | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 15- BJP State President and Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria today visited Alexander Memorial School in Residency Road locality and got the work for development and roofing of the playground of the school started out of his Constituency Development Fund in presence of staff and prominent figures of the area. While speaking on the occasion, Khajuria said that a school without a good playground is incomplete as the same is needed for students to play, hold cultural events perform daily prayers. He said that the playground of this school did not have any roof and in times of rains or summers, the students can neither play nor perform prayers etc. Principal of the School Esther William, while expressing gratitude to the MLA for providing funds from his CDF, said the school established in 1892 has the distinction of being one of the oldest institutions in Jammu city. She said that scores of students who got their early education from this school have reached heights and are now very respectable citizens of the state; many of them have even occupied very high positions in other parts of the country. Besides staff members, BJP leaders including Ramesh Arora, Shiv Kumar Gupta, JMC Corporators Sat Pal Grover and Gulshan Mahajan and BJYM leader Sanjiv Kumar were also present on the occasion.
