Khajuria for FIR against those who incited passions on Shopian case
12/15/2009 11:09:58 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu Dec 15: BJP State President Ashok Khajuria today alleged that it is a matter of grave concern that Shopian incident was a pre-planned event, which disturbed the whole atmosphere in state. He demanded FIR to be registered against all who have exploited the situation.
‘It was a conspiracy planned against police establishment to defame it and other security forces hatched by Pak supporters and Islamic fundamentalists of the valley inorder to malign the image of security forces. It is an eye-opener for all that the militants and their supporters have no religion and they can go to any extent to execute their evil deeds, he said.
BJP MLA said it is more painful that our leaders of Kashmir based political parties have either connived with fundamentalists or they are so callous and casual that they made hue and cry of violation of human rights without verifying the ground realities. It is their moral responsibility to tender unconditional apology to public for advocating the cause of anti-national elements rather an FIR should be registered against all who have exploited the situation. BJP has decided to raise this issue in the coming session of assembly.
Infact, CBI has exposed the ugly faces and nefarious designs of the Islamic fundamentalist and their political masters. Again these elements want to create an atmosphere of rejection of CBI report which cannot be tolerated.
Appreciating the role of CBI, he said the CBI has again reflected its responsible attitude while investigating and BJP has full faith in the judiciary and matter will culminate to its logical end.
The BJP Chief declared that the party is with the police officials who were proved innocent after enquiry of CBI, we have all the sympathy with these officials and their families but the law says no innocent should be punished.
He said BJP demands immediate action against all the persons who are creating an atmosphere of distrust against CBI report by burning their report they want to disturb again the peaceful atmosphere and warned of an agitation if govt fails to take stern action against guilty.
Khajuria however expressed displeasure that no CBI enquiry was ordered after the death of Kuldeep Verma in land row agitation and Rajneesh Sharma in Police custody at Srinagar which reflects the discriminatory attitude of the government and immediate action is demanded against the culprits to restore confidence that the state policy is not confined to Kashmir only.
