Jammu, Dec 15: The Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand, who is holding the charge of Housing and Urban Development departments convened a meeting here today to discuss the holding of Municipal Elections in the State.
Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development and Tourism, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, the meeting was present.
The meeting was attended by Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. B.R. Sharma, the Commissioner Housing, Mr. Abdul Hamid, Director Local Bodies, Kashmir, Mr Mohammad Abas Dar, Director Local Bodies, Jammu Mr. Khursheed Ahmed, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Mr. Mubark Singh and Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Mr. Tufail Mattoo. The meeting held detailed deliberations in connection with delimitation of areas and wards in various Municipal Committees and revision of electoral rolls.
The Deputy Chief Minister called for completing required formalities for the proposed Municipal elections.
