| Humming Bud’s students visit fire station | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: Humming Buds, the pre-school of Model Academy, arranged an exciting trip of its students, to the Fire Station at Gandhi Nagar to learn how fire fighters protect the community. The children had a very interesting session at the fire station and interacted with Subash Verma Station Officer, Fire and Emergency Services who explained to the students about the importance of fire safety. He also instructed them regarding the hazards of playing with fire and matches. The children were shown different equipments used by the brave fire personnel in different rescue missions like, Fire rescue tender, Fire chemical suit, Fire entry suit, Victim location camera, Circular saw, swimming kit for rescue in water, medicated blankets for covering the wounded persons to carry them to the hospital etc. Live demonstration was also given to the students who enjoyed every bit of this demonstration. The teachers of Humming Buds who accompanied the students thanked the Fire Services department for their services and for providing valuable information to students which they would never forget. The program was coordinated by Rupa Gupta, Principal Model Academy.
