| NSUI urges centre to lift ban on pre-paid mobile service | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: State General Secretary of NSUI, Arjun Singh Pathania has appealed the Central Government to lift ban on pre-paid mobile phones. In a statement Pathania urged the government to come out with some modifications to safeguard the interest of common man. Pre-paid mobile connections should be redistributed and re-scrutinized for the purpose of security, he added. In spite of conversion to post- paid connection with a valid proof, there should be more verification for getting a connection. He said with the ban on pre paid mobile service the student community has especially suffered as they can not afford post paid connection. He has also appealed to all mobile phone companies in general and BSNL in particular to start some rent-free post-paid plans.
