| Employees frame new body for Jammu division | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: A new body of employees joint action committee for Jammu division was framed at a daylong state level session of employees joint action committee held at Satwari here today. The session was chaired by Ab. Qayoom Wani its president. The new members are Popinder Singh as president, Jagmohan Sadhotra as vice-president, Ganesh Khajuria as provincial general secretary and Amreek Singh as chief advisor. In the meeting leaders criticized the government for not implementing the agreement reached between joint consultant committee leaders and government on august 18, 2009. The leader asked the government to implement the agreement in which government has assured to redress demands by or before 31st Oct. 2009. Members in the meeting extended their full support to EJAC and to the programmed launched by joint consultative committee of holding protest demonstration at Shalimar Chowk, Divisional Commissioner’s office Srinagar and Deputy Commissioner’s Office at Ladakh scheduled on 23rd Dec. 2009 followed by complete strike on 30th Dec. 2009 throughtout the state. The leaders warned the government if it failed to honour its commitment before 30th Dec. the organization will announce decisive agitational programme in the first week of January 2010 and the responsibility shall lie on the government. The leades who attended the session include Abdul Rashid Mir Shabir Ahmed Langoo, Rajinder Gupta, Bhupinder Shastri, Syeeda Ladakhi, Rasool Bhat, Gopal Singh, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, Manzoor Ahmed Pampori, Darshan Sharma, Ashok Raina, Surat Singh Toofani, Dharminder Singh, Mukhtar Singh, Shokat Ahmed Wani, Farid Ahmed Fani, and Romesh Raina.
