Kashmiri leaders blackmailing Centre over Shopian: BJP
12/16/2009 11:44:02 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 15: BJP State Spokesperson Advocate Ramesh Arora strongly opposed strike call given to condemn CBI report over Shopian incident. Infact the protest call is meant to mislead the public and aimed at saving actual culprits, who were responsible for fabricating the truth.
Arora said that it is painful that doctors have caused stigma over the noble profession by giving false report and demanded stern action against them. “PDP always support propaganda against India. Now it is opposing CBI report. Infact leaders of Kashmir have lost their credibility. They may be termed as blackmailers. They are not only supporting Muslim fundamentalism but have always tried to blackmail central government in the name of terrorism. Terrorism has become an industry of profit earning” Arora said and added that BJP opposes this attitude and warns the separatist forces to desist from such activities.
Arora also appealed the union government to take all possible steps to stop these leaders from carrying anti-India activities. Arora said that State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, being the chairman of Unified Command is responsible to control the situation especially the protests challenging CBI report should be dealt strongly. Government should also take steps against police officers who were responsible for false investigations. At the same time it must compensate to the government police officials who were victimized said Arora and added that Bar Association, Jammu, should also take open stand over the issue as few persons from Shopian Bar have been implicated by CBI. “CBI probe is beyond any favoritism we all should respect the out come of CBI report” Arora said and added that BJP will not tolerate any appeasement policy and demand immediate action against the culprits whosoever is involved. He also asked the state government to stop the situation of Shopian by active intervention from going bad to worst as the culprits will not leave any stone unturned to complicate the situation.
