| Jawan killed in accidental fire | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: An army jawan was today killed when he was hit by a bullet accidentally fired by a guard at an army camp in Jammu district, 40 kms from here, police said.
According to reports the guard was taking part in the night guard change exercise at Artillery Brigade camp in Tanda area of Akhnoor border tehsil in Jammu district this morning when a bullet accidentally went off from his rifle and hit jawan Paramjeet Singh, the guard commander, they said.
Singh was rushed to army hospital where he was declared as brougt dead, they said, adding that a court of enquiry has been ordered into the incident.
Meanwhile a soldier of Maratha Light Infantry, Deepak, a resident of Maharashtra, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Noushera Brigade camp in Rajouri district last night, police said adding that Police has registered a case and investigations are on.
