| Shift PSA detenue to hospital: HC to authorities | | | Srinagar, Oct 7 The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has directed the state government to immediately shift a detenue suffering from cancer to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Meedical Sciences at Soura for treatment.
The court directions came after Ghulam Hassan father of Inayatullah filed a writ petition praying the jail authorities be directed to shift his son to hospital for treatment.
In his petition Mr Hassan alleged that due to lack of medicare his son had reached the death bed.
The court also instructed the police to allow the family of the 24-year-old Inayatullah to attend him in the hospital.
Inayatullah, a resident of Fatehpora in south Kashmir district was diagnosed of first stage cancer during his detention at Jammu's Kot Balwal jail.
The petitin said that due to denial of medicare the disease reached third stage.
He was arrested by police and 19 Rashtriya Riffles troopers during a joint operation, on the charges of supporting militants and working for them as a guide.
However, he was later booked under the Public Safety Act for two years.
