| 2 die, 23 injured in road mishaps | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Dec 17- Two persons died and 23 others were injured in different road accidents across Jammu region while two persons died under mysterious circumstances.
One matador bearing registration number JK02G/7747 hit a scooter bearing registration JK02P/9987 near DC office Poonch, resulting in injuries to scooterist namely Ashiq Hussain son of Noor Hussain resident of Digwar Poonch. Injured was shifted to district hospital Poonch. He was later referred to GMC Jammu where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Balbir Singh SPO No. 1206 posted in District Police Line Jammu son of Charanjeet Singh resident of Model Town Gangyal, succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to VMC Ludihana.
One matador bearing registration number JK02S/7021 on way from Chinigam to Pehalgawari rolled down in a Nallah near Pehalgawari, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Chatroo, resulting in injuries to four persons who were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment.
In the meantime the Police seized a Honda Motorcycle bearing registration number JK02V/8868 in Peer Mitha area.
Kulwant Singh son of Basant Singh resident of Lam, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Nowshera, died under suspicious circumstances at village Lam. Body was shifted to sub district hospital Nowshera and after conducting legal formalities handed over to legal heirs for last rites. Inquest proceedings have been initiated in this regard.
Meanwhile, one K. Ramana son of K. Yanku Nadu resident of Door No. 1/80/9 sec No. 3 MG-II MVP colony Vashaka Patna at present working at Afcon Railway Company Kouri, died in suspicious circumstances at Kouri, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Mahore. Body handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Inquest proceedings have been initiated in this regard.
