| Back from Rajasthan tour, students given rousing reception | | | Early Times report Jammu, Dec 17- The educational tour sponsored by Poonch Brigade to Rajasthan for the children of Khari Karmara village of Poonch District was flagged in today. It was a unique experience for the students and teachers of Government High School, Khari Karmara to venture on such a tour from the remote areas of J&K. During the tour the students were taken to various places of historical and religious significance in Jammu, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer. The tour also exposed the children to our rich cultural heritage and progress made by our nation in various fields. It also broadened the awareness level of the participants on education, IT and other developments taking place in the nation. Historical monuments such as the Ajmer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Hawa Mahal, Umaid Bhawan, amongst other tourist attractions, were also shown to the school children during the tour. They also paid obeisance at the famous Khwaja Moin-ud-Din Chisti dargah located at Ajmer and the Brahma temple at Pushkar. The flag in ceremony was attended by the officers and troops of the Poonch Brigade along with other civil dignitaries. The people and children were grateful to the Army for sponsoring the tour and ensured their resolve to become better citizens of our great nation.
