| No Pak cellphone signals near jail: DG | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 17: Director General (Prisons) Ashok Bhan today denied that there were any reports about mobiles catching Pakistan signal near Central Jail area here. Mr Bhan said, ''I personally surveyed some of the bordering locations but no Pakistani signal was located in the mobiles. There can not be any possibility as cellular gadgets and other equipments have been installed at strategic points to counter any such functioning of mobiles.'' It became a matter of concern for the security agencies after it was informed that mobiles in this winter capital reportedly catch ‘Pak signal’ near Central Jail on city outskirts. According to the sources, the cell phones functional in the outskirts of this city show clear signals of ‘Pakistan mobile’ service providers in and around the Kot Bhalwal Central Jail. ''The mobiles we are using catch signals sometime from across the border and clearly display the names of the Pakistani mobile service providers,'' a local resident at Kot Bhalwal told a news agency. He informed that Pakistan networks being displayed on mobiles include Zong, PK- Telnor, PK-PL, Warid-Tel and Mobil-Ink.
