Ramban, Dec 18: In a bid to review the arrangements made for the Muharram, the Deputy Commissioner, K.B Magotra chaired a high level meeting of the concerned agencies officers here today.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal, S.P, M. Latiffee, Tehsildar, Gandhreb Singh, Medical Superintendent, AEE, Pdd, AEE, PHE, CEOL Municipalities, Ramban, Banihal and Batore, Traffic Police Officers etc.
DDC directed the concerned officers for ensuring uninterrupted Water Supply and Electricity during Muharram period particularly in Shia dominated areas. Magotra also asked the Tehsil Supply Officer to make available essential items particularly, Sugar, K.Oil, food grains, atta etc on the fair price shops so that the people especially of Shia community may not come across with any difficulty during Muharram. He also directed the PHE and Health Departments to make available one water tanker and ambulances during the processions.
