| JU’s display your talent | | Prize distribution function for 1st, 2nd phase held | |

Jammu, Dec 18: The prize distribution function of the Display Your Talent Contest 2009-10 of the 1st and 2nd phase of the “Display Your Talent Contest” 2009-10 including fine arts and literary events, was conducted by the department of students welfare university of Jammu at Brig Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here today.
Dean Academic Affairs of JU Prof. N.A Ganai was the chief guest said that the Display your talent had a modest beginning in 1982-83 and has now blossomed to its full. Some of the artists passed from this platform have earned a good name and fame and got evne National and International recognition in the field of theatre, music and fine arts etc. He said that he is emotional attached with the Department of Students Welfare as he was appointed as the First Dean Students welfare after the change of nomenclature of the position of Director, Youth Welfare, University of Jammu. He also complimented the prize winners and eulogized the efforts of the Department of students welfare for providing suitable platform to the students to exhibit their talent.
The proceedings were conducted by secretary, students cultural council Rameshwari Slathia also presented the vote of thanks. Prof. J.S Tara, dean students welfare, delivered the welcome address and gave a brief resume of the various students welfare activities conducted during the 1st & 2nd phase of Display Your Talent 2009-10.’
Among others Prof. Varsha Mehta, Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Prof. Poonam Choudhary, Dr. Shailendra Singh, Dr. Hardeep Chahal, Dr. Sandeep Tandori, Vijay Atri, Vinay Thusoo, Ankita Gupta, Heads of the Teaching Departments, Princial and Teacher Incharges of the Affiliated Colleges, Members of the campus cultural committee students cultural etc attend the function.
