| DH Hospital being upgraded as trauma care centre: Mankotia | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, Dec 19- District Hospital will be upgraded to the level of trauma care centre (L-II) and with this its rank will be equivalent to Medical College Jammu with all facilities. This was stated by Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA Udhampur here today. Mankotia said that concurrence for up gradation of the hospital has been given by the Union Finance Ministry on December 17 last year. The up gradation of the hospital to the level of trauma care centre will involve a cost of Rs.9.65 crores, of which Rs.0.80 lakhs has been released by Government of India. The detail project report has been completed for the early start of execution work on this project. He said the matter regarding early execution of work on this prestigious project has been taken up with the state Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma, who has assured full support for this. Mankotia urged the health minister to provide CT scan machine in the hospital as was assured in the budget session and for which Rs.1.17crore has already been released last year.
