| Interactive session on New Exim Policy | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 19- Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), in collaboration with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, organized an interactive session on New Exim Policy here today. The key speakers of the session who deliberated upon the EXIM Policy were Tapan Mazumdar, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, New Delhi and CM Krishna Program Director PHD-KAF Project New Delhi. Tapan Mazumdar said that the World Bank estimate suggest that 53 million more people would fall in poverty net in this year. In purview of the global recession the global trade is likely to decline by 9 % in volume terms. He added that the short term objective of the Policy was to capture and reverse the decreasing trends of the export and support the sectors which has badly effected by recession. Dr. M I Parray of Jammu Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute, appreciated the role of PHDCCI and expected that mutually in coming future also same type of programs will be conducted. Vikrant Kuthiala, Chairman, PHDCCI Jammu Chapter, formally welcomed the participants in the beginning of the interactive session. Course Coordinator, Vishal Ray, Senior officers of PHDCCI, along with over 30 entrepreneurs /businessmen from different trades including import/export trade hailing from state participated in the Interactive Session.
