‘We won’t allow sell out of J&K”: Leela Karan
12/20/2009 12:03:16 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19- Charging the Centre of playing in the hands of foreign powers and taking hasty steps detrimental to the unity and integrity of the country, former convener of Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti Leela Karan Sharma said ‘We will not allow the centre and the state governments to sell out Jammu and Kashmir to anti- national elements sponsored by Pakistan in the state’.
Accusing the government of having always ignored the sentiments of nationalist forces in the state, Sharma said ‘any talks on Kashmir without taking into confidence the nationalists people of state will be meaningless. All stake holders including PoK refugees, Kashmiri Pandits as well as other minorities should be taken into confidence before taking any decision, he said adding that the centre must clear on what issues it is going to hold dialogue with the separatists.
On quiet diplomacy, he said, the Centre has surrendered before the anti-national and separatist forces and warned that any anti-national decision will be fought tooth and nail by the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions. The Centre should realize that any decision ignoring the wishes and aspirations of these regions would add ‘fuel to the fire’, he cautioned.
Sharma said the accession of Jammu and Kashmir is complete and nobody has right to dilute the provisions of Constitution of India. The instrument of accession of Jammu and Kashmir with India was the same as was signed by the rulers of other princely states with India. Now the time has come to apply the Constitution of India in Jammu and Kashmir without any reservation to end the anti-national separatists.
