| Police Public School organizes Annual Day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 19: Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib today said that Jammu and Kashmir Police has played a defending role in countering the nefarious designs of vested interests and combating militancy.
The Minister was addressing Sports Annual Day function of Police Public School at Miran Sahib, soon after declaring the event open. He said that Jammu & Kashmir Police under the esteemed leadership of Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda is playing significant role in restoring peace and tranquillity in the state and marvellous results are coming out of the efforts put in while by him in promoting sports and social activities in the entire state.
Expressing his gratitude for the support and guidance of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah in improving sports infrastructure and also in encouraging sportsmanship , Mr. Chib said that State is heading towards progress and prosperity in every sphere of life especially, sports sector.
Lauding the role of management of the school for organizing a scintillating function, Mr. Chib appreciated the chairperson of JK Police Wives Welfare Association, Dr. Indu Khoda for inculcating the spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm in the students of the school. He hoped that the school will propagate the message of national integration, brotherhood and amity by organizing many more events of this sort.
Earlier on the occasion, Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda said that the school is imparting education to the students belonging to both well off and poor families so that the quality education reaches to all sections of the society and nobody is deprived of it. He said that modern education like Infrastructure Technology, Physical Education and other subjects of importance are being taught to the students of the school. He said that hostels for students are under construction and shortly the residential facilities within school premises shall be provided to the students of the school.
