| Ruling NC leader among killed in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 19 : A ruling National Conference (NC) leader was among two persons killed in south Kashmir, official sources said here today.
They said unidentified gunmen showered bullets on Mohammad Iqbal Dar, a haqla president at Dangerpora in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.
Dar was immediately shifted to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Gunmen also shot dead another person Nazir Ahmad Chopan at Kadipora in the same district.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for their killing, they said adding police and security forces have launched a massive drive against the killers.
This was the third killing in south Kashmir during the past one week. Last week a girl was shot dead by gunmen at Shopian.
