| PDP condemns Pulwama killings | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 20- Peoples Democratic Party has strongly condemned the killing of two persons in Pulwama district of South Kashmir by “unidentified gunmen” and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families. In a press statement issued here today, a party spokesman said that PDP has always reiterated that violence and bloodshed is no solution to any issue and spilling of the blood of innocent only made the problem more complex. He said that the party disapproves of all kinds of violence and expect the society also to reject any violence as they have done so creditably on all crucial occasions in recent years. Asserting that violence and political instability in the state had caused deep scars and resulted in countless tragedies, the spokesman said that the violence and bloodshed has to be denounced by one and all. “Non-violence means to assert our rights not only would impress the world but could actually help in making a breakthrough”, he added. Terming the two killings in Pulwama district as unfortunate, the spokesman expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
