| Redress genuine demand of employees: Shastri | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 20- National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to redress the genuine demands of various sections of the state Government employees and ensure that all the anomalies in the SRO-93 are removed.0 Addressing a NMC Workers rally today, Shastri said the implementation of the report has developed a good rapport between the Government and the employees. He demanded that the arrears on account of 6th Pay Commission implementation be released in two installments. He described the current year as a year of salaried class since Chief Minister took historic decision such as release of 6% pending DA Installment due from January this year enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs. 70 to Rs. 110 per day, implementation of 6th pay commission and several other measures, Shastri further urged the 13th Finance Commission Chairman Dr. V. L. Kelkar to provide a special financial assistant package to Jammu and Kashmir for fully funding expenditures for implementation of 6th Pay Commission recommendations in favour of state government employees & pensioners. He also highlighted various demands of working section in Jammu and Kashmir. Among those who also addressed the rally included Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Bhupinder Singh and Mohan Lal Sharma.
