| Bukhari to head newly constituted PCWF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 20- Feeling discontent and unrest amongst the Pahari speaking people, all the sitting and ex-legislators, former ministers and MPs today constituted a Forum under the name and style of ‘Jammu and Kashmir Pahari Cultural and Welfare Forum ( PCWF)’.
The forum has unanimously appointed Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah Bukhari, ex-MLA Surankote chairman of the forum, Raja Manzoor Ahmed Khan, vice chairman, Ravinder Sharma, MLC as general secretary.
The Forum also decided that Mirza Abdul Rashid Ex MP be the Chief Organizer and. Kuldeep Raj Gupta be the Organizer of the Forum.
The Chairman of the Forum has been authorized to nominate two organizers and three Vice-Chairmen, two provincial bodies presidents each from Jammu and Kashmir province, the Pahari employee’s body and the youth body will be announced separately.
Addressing media persons here today Bukheri said that the Forum is deeply concerned over the growing discontent and unrest amongst the Pahari speaking people, as despite, the case recommended by the State Cabinet for conferment of ST Status way back in 1989, but the matter is still pending for consideration with Government of India.
To bring this legitimate demand to its logical conclusion, he said, the Forum has decided to convene a State Level Convention of the Pahari delegates for taking furthers course of action besides the mass protest.
