Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 20: Rajesh Kamat, CEO, colors was adjudged impact person of the year 2009 along with 12 other impact persons. Famous musician Anoushka Shankar was chief guest at the event who herself has won several musical awards, which include the British House of Commons Shield in 1998 and Woman of the year in 2003. Anoushka, daughter of the acclaimed sitarist and composer, Pandit Ravi Shankar, is managed by Percept Talent Management. Twelves nominees for the impact person of the year 2009 were Sam Balsara (Madison World), Subhash Chandra (Essel/Zee Group), Haresh Chawla (Network 18), Arnab Goswami (Times Now), Samir and Vineet Jain (The Times of India group), Rajesh Kamat (Colors), Kalanidhi maran (Sun Network), Harit Nagpal (Vodafone), Vikram Sakhuja (Group M), Ronnie Screwvala (UTV Network), Uday Shankar (Star India) and Rajiv Verma (HT Media). The impact person fo the year award was set up by exchange4media group in the year 2005. Peter Mukerjea, then with Star India, was the receipient of the first Award, In 2006, Rajdeep Sardesai was presented with the award and in 2007, it was Dr Vijay Mallya. Last year, it was Lalit Modi and Raghav Bahl who may awarded the impact person of the year (Editor Choice) Award.
