| MOS Cooperatives announces cash award to Dance Academy | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 20- The Minister of State for Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma has lauded the performance of young children of Udhampur in presenting excellent and thrilling dance items in 11th felicitation day function organized by Navrang Dance Academy, at Goverdhan Palace here last evening.
The Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Academy in tapping budding talent and providing the young an opportunity to expose their talent on a common platform adding that this would go a long way in shaping the future of youngsters. The Minister asked the Director of the Academy to put in more efforts to train children so that the children after learning could compete well in any futuristic competition. The Minister assured the management of the academy of full logistic support from the government for promotion of such activities.
The Minister also announced a cash reward of Rs.5, 000 to the management of Academy for their dedication in training the budding talent thereby providing a right direction to the children in developing taste in dancing art which has wider scope in the present scenario.
The Director of Academy, S. Harvinder Singh giving a detailed account of the Academy said that it was established 11 years ago in Udhampur and has trained a large number of children in the art of dancing. SP City, Rajeshwar Singh, local Councilor, Ashwani Khajuria, Assistant Director, Youth Services and Sports, Ashok Kumar, parents and students were also present.
