| Farmers’ training camp concludes | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 20-A 3-day training program under “Farmers Field School” pattern on wheat crop organized by Department of Agriculture at Chennai concluded today. MLA Chenani, Krishan Chander Bhagat was chief guest. As many as 120 farmers of the area attended the training camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhagat called upon the farmers to ensure their maximum participation in camps being organized by the Agriculture Department and after getting technical know-how make other farmers in their neighborhood aware to boost agriculture production.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Udhampur, H.D Sharma apprised the farmers about latest trends in farming, use of hybrid seeds, soil moisture management and timely sowing to get bumper crop of wheat. These measures have become very important in the light of prolonged dry spell and erratic rains, he added.
