Three tire Panchayat Raj, system to be introduced after the Panchayat elections across the state to empower people at Panchayat, block and district levels, said Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Rattan Lal Gupta.
National Conference Provincial president Gupta who was on tour to far flung areas of Udampur district namely Gholdi and Barmin under the mass contact programme launched by party president Dr Farooq Abdullah.
Addressing the gathering Gupta assured them that all their problems will be taken up with concerned authorities for early addressing. The villagers highlighted problems which include road connectivity, drinking and irrigation water, dispensary and Naibat and demanded redressal at earliest. Gupta urged upon the party workers to reach out every nook and corner to educate the people about the various schemes launched by state and centre governments. He also stressed upon the workers to select worthy candidates for Panchayat election for better dispensation as funds allocated by state and center would be directly transferred to Panchayats.
Gupta said highlighting the achievements of NC led coalition said that government under the young, dynamic and visionary chief minister Omar Abdullah is committed to all round development of all the three regions.
Mohd. Shafi Advocate, Provincial Secretary, Pardeep Bali Provincial Jt Secretary, Rajesh Gupta Disst. President Udhampur, Prem Nath Disst President Kissan Cell, Ram Parshotam Disst President Youth wing, Pt ram Lal Sharma and Hari Chand also spoke on the occasion
