Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 21: Highlighting the role of Development Authorities in upgrading the tourist facilities and showcasing state’s natural beauty at the national and international level, J&K Chief Minister, said that his government has underlined the integrated development of tourism as a focused area. “We have launched a multi pronged strategy to encourage large scale inflow of tourists from within and outside the country”, he added. The Chief Minister said that Mansar and Surinsar possess greater potential for pilgrim tourism. “Both the places are ancient and heritage sites in Jammu division”, he said adding that Purmandal and Utterbehni are famous pilgrim spots situated in the jurisdiction of Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority”. The meeting was attended by the Minster for Tourism, Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora, Minister of State for Tourism, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Devender Singh Rana, legislators, Mr. Jugal Kishore and Yashpal Kundal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Commissioner/Secretary, Mr. Sudhanshu Pandey, Secretary Tourism, Ms. Tanveer Jahan, Chief Executive Officer, Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority, Mr. Soujanya Kumar Sharma and other members of the Authority.
