| BSS organizes workshop on computer IT | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 21: Bharat Sevak Samaj (BSS) in collaboration with Indira Sagar institute of education and research, Rajpura organized a two day free workshop on computer hardware and network engineering in the complex of BSS IT college Indira Sagar institute Rajpura here today which is imparting computer and information technology. The workshop was inaugurated by Veena Sharma, principal of the institute. Samaj was started at the instance of planning commission, government of India with the object of enabling individual citizen to contribute, in the form of organized co-operative efforts to the implementation of the national plan. During workshop exhaustive knowledge was provided to the participants by the computer/ IT experts with open option of question answer session in a friendly atmosphere of students and experts. The participants were of the standard 5th onward who were provided necessary stationary by the organizing agency i.e. BSS IT-College free of cost which was used by them for noting down name of the hardware/ components of the computers and components vocabulary. The participants of the workshop were also given the details of peripheral connectivity of the computer parts/ components and their functioning systematically. Necessary precautions to be taken by the computer users to safe guard a PC/ computer system and protections of software and repair of hardware etc was part of the workshop.
