| GCET organise seminar on mathematician ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 22: A seminar on ‘great Indian mathematician,’ Srinivasa Ramanujan was organized by the department of mathematics of Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) here today.
In the seminar several persons which include students spoke about the genious of Ramanunjan, the mathematics wizard of the country. Prof. S.D. Sharma, H.O.D. deptt. of mathematics University of Jammu spoke about the contribution made the in field of mathematics by India to the world. Students Aditya Manohar, Miss Neha and Shruti were adjudged Ist, 2nd and IIIrd respectively in the seminar.
Earlier principal of the college. Prof. Bhopinder Singh welcomed the guest and spoke about the importance of seminar, while vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Atula Dhar, HoD deptt. of physic of the college.
