| Sewa chairman call on CM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 22: ‘Sewa’, a national social service organisation, led by its chairman Raghubir Singh Khajuria today called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and presented him a memorandum of genuine demands from people of the J&K State. As per press release the organisation demanded special recruitment drive for the people belonging to border villages living within 8 to 10 kms of the border line for their smooth and effective living as they are lacking all those facilities which are being availed by the public living in the city, towns and at district headquarters. All the educated unemployed youth of the border area are working very hard for their future career but they lack to compete the counter parts who are availing all facilities being in town and cities of the same state, organisation also demanded to give the status of town or a modern village to village Badyal Brahmana which is comprising with five mohallas of refugees of 1947 who are deprived of all the rights and are living a miserable life for the last about 50 years. The status of the town or modern village to this village will definitely upgrade the all essential requirements of the villagers and their life can be better as compared to the present one. The organisation also requested the Chief Minister to look into the matter personally for the improvement of the road leading from Kotli Shah Doula to Badyal Brahmana via Kotli Arjan. The Chief Minister was also requested to direct concerned departments to improve the condition of the roads, lanes and drains, electricity, schools and hospitals in the remote village of J&K State so that the people living in the villages may be given relief for such type of essential services. All the problems were discussed in a cordial atmosphere and the Chief Minister assured full cooperation from the Govt. for these problems, which are genuine one.
