| CRPF hold function at Bantalab | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: An impressive function was held at Group centre CRPF, Bantalab were CRPF battaliaons were honoured for their performance in various field. The function was attended by galaxy of officer and Jawans, including IGP Jammu sector R.C. Tayal who was the chief guest on the occasion.
As per handout the best adm battalion trophy was presented to 20Bn CRPF which is affiliated to Jammu Sector HQr and doing remarkably well in Assam. The trophy was received by Moses Dinakaran who is the Commandant of Battalion. The Best Cost effectiveness and financial discipline trophy went to 16 Bn CRPF which was received by Mahipal Singh Shekhawat second in Command. The 16 Batalion an affiliated unit of Jammu Sector of CRPF and developed in Mathura (U.P) protecting the Krishan Janam Bhumi Shrine. Harpal Singh, Commandant 76 Bn CRPF had the honour of receiving Best Ops Bn Trophy. The unit is deployed in Doda Distt. of Jammu and has many credits in the operations against Pak sponsored militancy.
In the Inter Batalion QAT competition, 06 Bn CRPF carried away the runner’s up Trophy whereas 33 Bn CRPF was honoured with the winners Trophy. Speaking on the occasion the IGP congratulated the winners for their outstanding achievements. He wished them very best for their future and desired that they will continue to win more laurels. S.R.
