| BHE hold convention, demand enhancement in fixed TA | | | Early Times Report Reasi, Dec 22- Jammu and Kashmir Basic Health Employees(BHE) Association of District Reasi, in its one day convention held under the Chairmanship of its president Sushil Sudan, discussed the problems confronting the employees and highlighted the demands for early redressal. The employees, among other things are demanding, enhancement of fixed traveling allowance, filling up of vacant posts, imparting training to newly promoted BHEs, grant of druggist and chemist license to the employees after retirement, besides issuance of medical emergency kits to the employees. President and General Secretary of the Association assured the employees that the genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal. They also urged upon the employees fraternity to actively participate in the strike call given by the Jammu Joint Action Committee on January 12, 2010 to press government for implementation of the agreement reached between the JJAC and the Government on the demands put forth by the employees which included release of 6th pay commission arrears, release of 5 per cent DA due from July last, enhancement in House Rent allowance and several other demands. The Association also held election for the Reasi Unit and elected Baldev Raj as its President and Tilak Raj as Vice President. Illam Din was appointed as general secretary of the unit, Jasbir Singh as Advisor and Kashmiri Lal as Cashier.
