Jammu, Dec 23 : The U.P Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, celebrated Christmas with fervour and gaiety. On this occasion S.D.P.O Sandeep Mehta was the chief guest. On the occasion Mehta said that in India, all the festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm that knits the secular fibre of the country. As per press release this school celebrates the festivals of all religions whether it is EID, GURUPURAB, DIWALI or CHRISTMAS regularly and inculcate students the values of religious tolerance so that they can strengthen the unity and integrity of the country that lies in its diversity.
On this occasion students of this school performed colourful, musical and cultural items related to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Welcoming the guest principal Rajni Sharma threw light on the teachings of Lord Jesus Christ. Sarika Sharma, Sushma Gupta, Renuka, Sunil Thappa, Sham Gupta, Sheetal Charak, Gurmeet, Rekha, Meenakshi, Pooja, Sandeep, Deepak Sharma were the teacher who participated in the function.
