| MLA Jammu East takes stock of issues of people in walled city | | |

BJP State President & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, alongwith Distt. President Rajesh Gupta, today visited Link Road and its adjoining areas to take stock of the problems of traders, shopkeepers and local inhabitants.
Khajuria who has been regularly visiting his constituency in a view to personally meet the people and initiate effective steps for solving their problems today visited this locality in walled city.
Ashok Khajuria was told that the area, particularly the market, has inadequate lighting in the evening hours and as a result the businessmen has to suffer. They stressed for fixing of high mast light at Link Road Chowk, to which the MLA agreed and assured the same to be installed within days. He assured them that the repair of lanes and drains will be taken in phased manner besides solving their other problems as well.
Earlier the MLA was accorded a rousing reception and garlanded by the members of the Traders Association.
Chairman Link Road Traders Association Rattan Gandotra, President Surinder Saran, Vice-President Shashi Kapoor, Gen. Secretary Sanjay Gupta and Smt Vidya Devi were prominent among those accompanied the BJP MLA during his visit.
