| Plus 2 lecturers serve 15 days ultimatum to Govt | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 23- To protest the callous and indifferent attitude of the government towards their issues, Plus 2- Cadre on Wednesday observed ‘Class Boycott’ and organized protest dharnas across the State today. The Association leaders warned to intensify the struggle if the government failed to resolve their issue within next 15 days. The classes boycott and protest dharnas were held under the banner of All J&K Plus- 2 Lecturers’ Forum at different district headquarters across the state, besides submitting memorandum to Chief Minister through Deputy Commissioners by the respective District Presidents for the personal intervention of the Chief Minister to resolve the genuine issues of Plus 2 Cadre. The boycott of class work and dharnas were organized in protest against the callous attitude, delaying tactics on the demands included regularization of 4000 Incharge Lecturers and 500 Principals and higher officers, benefit of Running Pattern as announced by the Ex-Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and the change of Pay Band in favour of Cadre in accordance with the recommendations of S.L Bhatt Committee constituted for the purpose in the State. At Jammu after complete class boycott the members of the Cadre assembled in the premises of Directorate of School Education at Muthi where about 500 Lecturers, Principals and Higher Officers registered their protest against the apathetic attitude of the Government with slogans, play cards and banner in support of their demands. At Srinagar Malik Mohammad Usman President Kashmir Province led the community handed memorandum to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for onward submission to State Chief Minister.
