| Selection of Horticulture Officers challenged | | HC directs PSC to permit petitioner to participate in selection process | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 24- Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court today issued notice to the respondents and in the meanwhile directed J&K Public Service Commission to permit the petitioner to participate in the selection process for the post advertised vide notification No 4 of PSC 2006. Court further directed that the result of the petitioner’s consideration in selection process, however, be kept in a sealed cover until further orders from this Court.
This direction has been passed in a petition filed by Sushil Kumar in which Advocate Amrish Kapoor appearing for the petitioner submitted that the grievances of the petitioner is that two separate notifications have been issued by the Commission for short listing the candidates. While one notification has been issued under No 04-PSC of 2006 dated March 26, 2006 for selection against 61 posts of Horticulture Officers, the other notification issued on March 6, 2009 prescribes the essential qualification for 17 more posts notified vide subsequent notification issued on March 6, 2009. Upon this the Court issued notice to the respondents with the direction to permit the petitioner to participate in the selection process and directed Registry to list after four weeks. JNF |
