| NCC contingent from J&K to take part in RD Parade at New Delhi | | | Early times Report Jammu, Dec 24- A contingent of 92 NCC cadets along with the supporting staff are preparing to participate in the Republic Day NCC Camp at New Delhi. These cadets will be leaving for the national capital on December 29 to represent the State.
Anil Gupta DDG NCC visited the NCC Camp at Nagrota and reviewed the preparations being made. He said that the cadets representing all areas of the state were selected and given extensive training over the last 45 days. In addition to drill related competitions, the cadets will also participate in various cultural and National Integration related events. Assistance of cultural development of State Government and various experts has been taken to prepare the cadets to perform well in various competitions during the said camp.
The contingent comprises 60 Boys and 32 Girl cadets. Gupta said that the students from the state are making full use of numerous opportunities for personality development provided by NCC. A group of 24 cadets from the state has just returned after attending a camp in the North Eastern state of Nagaland.
Cadets going to New Delhi are eagerly looking forward to meeting and competing with their counterparts from other parts of the country. They will also get an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister, other leaders and senior officers.
