| AIDS control employees demand regularization | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 24- The indefinite strike of the field staff employees of J&K State AIDS Control Society (J&K SACS) across the state entered its third day today. The strike was started across the country under the call of president national AIDS Control Employees Union.
The striking employees, among other things, are demanding salary at par with the central government employees with all other facilities, pay benefits from April 2006 as per the recommendations of sixth pay commission, insurance facility, CPF, maternity leave, medical leave, special incentives for highly qualified non technical employees like M.Phil, PhD and implementation of all guidelines of National AIDS Control Organization.
President of the association regretted that though the state government has regularized the services of employees serving on contractual basis for seven years or above but employees working for the control of fatal disease like HIV/AIDS are one of the lowest paid. |
