| Dy CM lays foundation of Community hall | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Dec 25 Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand has said that government has instructed all the concerned authorities to fully utilize the fund of Rs 5500 crore released by the Central Government during the current financial year for development projects and welfare schemes in the state. Tara chand was addressing at a function organized in connection with foundation stone laying ceremony of a Community Hall at Rawathpora Bagat, Srinagar, coming up at a cost of Rs 35.75 lakhs. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government would ensure the completion of all those projects taken in hand across the state. He lauded the central government for liberal funding to the state for its socio- economic development. Tara Chand said that the government would provide all basic amenities to the people living in congested areas of the cities. For this purpose the Deputy Chief Minister said that four projects are on the anvil for these congested areas and the expenditure in this behalf will be borne by the government. The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Nasir Aslam Wani said that the government is committed for the equitable development of all the three regions of the state. He assured that the Assembly Constituency Amirakadal would be developed on priority as it had become a neglected area during the regime of previous government. Mayor Srinagar Salman Sagar also spoke on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mehraj Ahmed Kakroo, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Tufail Matoo and other officers were also present on the occasion.
