| Indu to organize Central Bank scheme for rural women | | | Early Times Report

M.L.A Indu Pawar is organizing awareness programme for empowerment of women in rural areas of Jammu district including Marh and Satwari blocks through Central Bank of India, regional office at Amritsar and branch office Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
During these awareness programmes, bank accounts are being opened of women with a group of 20 members. The bank is helping the rural poor women for being self sufficient in arranging the capital required for starting small micro units at their own level.
The bank will advance six times the capital deposited by the group of ladies for helping them financially. This programme will generate the awareness among the rural poor women in dealing with the bank and handling cash for their own units. The Central Bank of India has a plan to conduct such more programme in future in Jammu District for mass contacts among the rural poor women.
Pawar ask the women in mass to come out of their homes to organize small groups for availing the facilities being provided by the Central bank of India for empowering and making self sufficient the rural poor women.
