| JWA movement burnt copies of ‘Working Group recommendations’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 25: A large number of Jammu West assembly movement (JWAM) activists along with the residents of Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur etc hold massive protest rally against the recommendations of working group of state-centre relations here today. Protestors in a rage of anger burnt the copies of working group recommendations and also blocked the busy road at Amphalla.
Addressing the protestors JWAM president Sunil Dimple said centre government has once again played with the sentiments of peace loving nationalist people of Jammu and Ladakh regions. Dimple said if recommendations are implemented at the behest of Kashmir leaders it will prove disaster as people of Jammu region are totally ignored and same is the case with Ladakh. He further said, people of Jammu region who have been stirring hard for the implementation of ‘Delimitation Commission’, as to stop discrimination with region has been total ignored.
He also lambasted on centre Government which fails to control price hike which day by day is touching new heights. He also criticized the working of state government of Omar Abdulla who are watching the situation as an mute spectator, taking no steps to control rising prices.
Among the prominent protestors were Ramesh Chander Kohli, Dr. Sham Saroop Gupta, Mohan Lal Sharma, Dr O.P Jandyal, Sanjay Gupta, Manjit Kumar, Kuku Khajuria, Kulbir Singh, Devinder Kumar and Balbir Gupta etc.
